GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSIONS

Dear Artists: We have begun reviewing work for potential shows at the American University Museum. The following are the guidelines we published on May 17th. If you have submitted work in a different format it may take a while to get to it.

Please submit a CD of up to 20 jpeg images (appropriately sized for on-screen viewing, roughly 8" x 10" at 72 dpi or 1 meg) along with a resume, image list (title, medium, size, and date), a short statement and/or cover letter. If you are proposing a group exhibition please include resumes by all artists involved.

Please do not send slides. Submitted materials will not be returned. The reviewing process should take 6 – 8 weeks. We will contact you if we would like to see additional materials.

Submissions should be mailed to:

Jack Rasmussen, Director and Curator

at the Katzen Arts Center

JACK,

I had asked you if having my url to my website was sufficient for being considered for exhibiting at the Katzen. Please let me know if I need to submit a CD also as posted.

Have you looked at my site?

Also, I have just sold 3 paintings to the State Dept' through the Arts and Embassies program for the U.S. Embassy in Barbados, including 2 large paintings titled 'Sushi' and 'Dominant Component'.

Thanks,

Joel D'Orazio

A CD would be better. We have just started looking and the CDs are going to be considered first... quicker and easier.
